you to take advantage of these training opportunities in

The Key Entrepreneur Development Center at Corporate
College East is ready to help you put the pieces
of the puzzle together and successfully grow your small
business. They will help you transform your startup or
existing small business and help you work on the
fundamentals that you need most.

On-Line Business Planning
This course will teach you powerful quantitative methods
that will have you making better, more informed, and
more effective business decisions. This workshop is a
learning lab to work directly with a business expert,
use the resources of the Key Entrepreneur Development
Center and network with fellow entrepreneurs. In
addition to the on-line class, participants will be able
to attend (2) workshops where they can get any questions
answered and network with other entrepreneurs.

2. Marketing 101
Create an effective marketing plan for your business. If
you have started a business or are looking to grow,
effective marketing is critical to your success. This
course will provide information on marketing strategies
as well as in-depth discussion on marketing tactics.
Each participant will receive a complete package of
local market analysis data that they will be able to
incorporate into their plans. Market data includes:
· Demographic Information · Business Demographic
information
· Local Economic Analysis · Future trend analysis
Topics Covered:
· Elements of a marketing plan.
· The difference between marketing and advertising.
· Effective marketing materials

This is a 3-part class/session. Class meets each

3. Getting a bank loan
Fine-tune your business plan to presentation
readiness including creating financial statements and
developing financial models for your business. This
6-session course will help you prepare a bank-ready
business plan. The course is based on materials
developed by the Kauffman Foundation, the nations
largest provider of entrepreneurial education. In
addition to the workbook, participants will get market
and financial analyses specific to your business. The
financial data allows you to compare your business to
other like businesses, one of the ways that bankers will
evaluate your plan.
Dates: This is a 6-part class/session. Class meets
each Tuesday (February 7 – March 14, 2006)
Times: 6:30P – 8:30P
Fee: $175 for Business Plan Challenge participants /
$225 for non-Challenge participants
